Gary & Andrea Yelen have been living in Nowa Nowa on Lake Tyers for the last 15 years.

Gary has made his living as an artist in all that time, from his gorgeous gallery. Lately we’ve been working more on arts projects which take us all around East Gippsland – and bring all sorts of fabulous artists to our home & studio gallery. Most of that work is done through our arts consultancy Red Tractor Art.

We currently have two accommodation options available – our lakeside cabin here in Nowa Nowa (pictured above) and a beach shack at Lake Tyers Beach, but we’ll soon have the Lake House ready for guests too.

(We’ll also be changing our accommodation name to Jumping Fish Place sometime soon. In the meantime we’ll be both.)

Nowa Nowa Photo Photo – photography workshops

We are delighted to now be offering a series of artist workshops at the Lake House.  Nowa Nowa Photo Photo is the first on offer.  A weekend workshop of slow photography with Ewen Bell 22-25 October 2010. Read all about it.

We’d love to hear from anyone interested in developing a workshop program with us. In particular – we’d love to find a baker who’d like to use/run workshops with our beautiful wood fired oven (an Alan Scott original).
